About Helen Mehl

Making art has been a source of joy for Helen most of her life. She is inspired by nature, scenes of ordinary people living their lives, and quiet outdoor spaces.

Helen Mehl received a MA in Art from San Jose State University after graduating from Stanford University with a BA in Art and History. After teaching art on the secondary and elementary level for several years, she was able to paint full-time.

Helen worked with many excellent teachers like Stephen Quiller, Kevin MacPherson, Sandra Speidel and Clark Mitchell.  She has shown work in local and national exhibitions. Her work is in private collections throughout the United States, Canada and Europe.

Helen lives with her husband in Sonoma, CA.
